District Clerk Courtroom Clerks

The District Clerk's Office is responsible for providing clerks to assist in the courtrooms for seven District Courts and five County Courts at Law. In addition to our sixteen courts, we also have courts created to handle excess court workloads such as Tax Court, Drug Court and CPS Cluster Courts. There are eleven court clerk positions in the District Clerk's Office working these 16 courts. The District Clerk has organized our Clerk Team into a court clerk rotation pool. The purpose of the pool is to familiarize our clerks with varied procedures in 9-12 individidual courts. As the clerk works several dockets for the Judge of each court, they become knowledgeable of the court's requirements, procedures and expectations for each court participant. This knowledge alleviates stress and confusion, allowing a comfortable and efficient working environment for all.
