I am Barbara Gladden Adamick, your elected District Clerk. In 1977, I began working
for District Clerk R. J. Gray, and continued under District Clerk Peggy Stevens. Functioning
for 19 years as a clerk and coordinator assigned to the 284th District Court, I was honored
to receive the appointment of the next District Clerk, fulfilling Ms Stevens unexpired term
upon her retirement. In 1997 I took office, followed in 1998 by the people of our great
County electing me as their District Clerk. The year 2007 began my third term in office
and my 11th year serving you. I am indeed grateful for the opportunity to lead this office,
especially with such a group of dedicated team players.

One of our first priorities began with adopting our mission statement as the "Workplace of the Future". This
energized us to focus on providing our customers with the highest standard of efficient service. To accomplish
this, we began working toward three continuing goals. First, we vowed to always structure and restructure the
organization so timely work would be produced. Second, we would commit to continuous research of
technology that would enhance our working abilities. Third and most importantly, we would work toward
joining our team together in the promotion of unity with professionalism as our standard. We believe these
accomplishments have been attainable and our staff continues diligent efforts of working together as a
professional spirited team. We remain committed to our mission, allowing each team member the opportunity to
successfully serve you, our customers, with satisfaction. We offer our website as a tool for insight into the
