Montgomery County District Clerk Records
and Research
The Record and Research Department maintains civil, family, felony, and delinquent tax files from the 1900's to the present.
You may request copies of a document by mail with the "Request for Copies" form, or in person. Copies (certified or not) are $1.00 per page. No personal checks (money orders, cashier's checks, or cash). To obtain copies from a sealed file you must first complete the "Request to Unseal Records" form. Upon Judge's approval you may receive only the copies requested.
Felony and Civil background searches are $5.00 per name, per 10 year search. You may send in a request with the name, date of birth, drivers license and a social security number along with your payment, or in person. We also provide Civil and Criminal Records data in the form of a CD, FTP file or e-mail. The fee for this service is $9.35 per month/request.
