What We Do

The Montgomery County Office of Court Administration was created in 2011 to help handle the increasing work of administrative tasks being put on the District and County Court at Law Judges in Montgomery County.  The Director of Court Administration serves as a management expert to the courts.  Some of the Director’s job responsibilities include helping the court gain greater efficiencies in caseflow management, help the court manage financial and human resources, leading the court in strategic planning, overseeing Indigent Defense in Montgomery County, serving as a liaison between the Courts and other county departments, including Commissioner’s Court, acting as a public relations spokesperson for the courts, working closely with the Local Administrative Judges, assisting in technology projects for the court, and other tasks that are deemed as essential for the more efficient and effective operation of the courts in Montgomery County.

The Director of Court Administration reports to the OCA Committee, which is composed of the two current Local Administrative Judges and the two immediately prior Local Administrative Judges.
