The Lone Star Executive Airport is located in Conroe, Texas in the heart of Montgomery County. Owned and operated by Montgomery County, the Lone Star Executive Airport is a reliever, general aviation airport. Lone Star Executive is located approximately 25 miles north of George Bush Intercontinental Airport in the Houston metropolitan area, and within ten miles of The Woodlands and the growing North Houston area.
Over the last ten years, the northward growth of the City of Houston has reached the City of Conroe. Interstate 45 has been widened providing a development corridor extending from Houston to Conroe. As a result, the Lone Star Executive Airport has become a more attractive airport for aircraft operators, and is host to a wide variety of aircraft operations.

The airport hosts an air traffic control tower and full aviation services. Runway 14-32 is 6,000-foot by 150-foot wide with concrete surface and full ILS with approach lighting. Runway 1-19 is 5,000-foot by 100-foot concrete wide with concrete surface and LPV/GPS/RNAV instrument approaches. Short term expansion plans include the extension of Runway 14-32 to 7,500-feet and an additional full parallel taxiway.
