MASTER PLAN/AIRPORT UPGRADES

This study has led to the identification of major modernization projects in the short and intermediate term for the airport. They include:

     • Construction of Air Traffic Control Tower, completed 2009

    
     • Extension of Primary Runway 14/32 to 7,500 feet

    
     • Development Area Taxiway Access

    
     • New Road Access

    
     • Private and Commercial Hangar Development

    
     • Utilities Extension and Drainage Improvements

    
     • Perimeter Fence Installation, completed

Improvements

     • Development of an on-airport restaurant with taxi way service

    
     • Hangar development continues on the airport with several private owners

        currently building and planning to build facilities over the next few years.

     • Airport Construction projects continue:

                    1. Construction of parallel taxi way

                    2. Development of Southeast Aviation Area, 100 acres

                    3. Phase II of new northwest aviation area access taxiway and

                        associated hangar development.
