OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES

Hearings for occupational licenses are normally held on Fridays at 10:00 a.m.  Applicants wishing to place an occupational license application for submission without hearing must utilize the affidavit form provided below. If a waiver of the four hour operating period is requested, be specific as to the reason the waiver is necessary. Submitting an incomplete affidavit form will result in the necessity of appearing for a hearing.

Applicants setting an occupational license on the submission docket may visit the County Clerk's Office to obtain a certified copy of the order. Applicants are required to use the order form provided below. The Court will strike those provisions of the order inapplicable to each case.

A SR-22 is REQUIRED for an occupational license, if your licenses has been suspended in accordance with Chapter 601 of the Texas Transportation Code. Failure to provide proof of appropriate insurance will result in the denial of the application for occupational license.

Counseling is REQUIRED for all those persons obtaining an occupational license as a result of an ALR suspension. Initial the provider (designated in the order form) the applicant desires to obtain counseling from. Failure to initial a provider will result in the Court assigning a provider.  Failure to attend counseling as ordered will result in the revocation of the occupational license.

If the applicant's suspension is for a DWI conviction an ignition interlock will be required of persons obtaining an occupational license. Initial the interlock provider (designated in the order form) the applicant desires to obtain an interlock device from. Failure to initial a provider will result in the Court assigning a provider. Failure to install the ignition interlock or a failed breath test will result in the revocation of the occupational license.

THE APPLICANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THE COURT WITH A CURRENT DRIVING RECORD.  THE APPLICANT MUST REDACT ALL EXCEPT THE LAST THREE DIGITS OF THE DRIVERS LICENCSE NUMBER.
