The Reference Attorney can review your paperwork before you go to court and walk you through the steps of an uncontested family law case. The Reference Attorney cannot give you legal advice or represent you.
Who can meet with the reference attorney?
You can meet with the Reference Attorney if your case is:
A simple family law case, such as divorce, custody, child support, modification or name change; and
Agreed (all parties agree on all issues involved in the case) or default (one party does not respond after being officially served); and
A Montgomery County case; and
Neither party has a lawyer.
