Recovery is one of the four phases of Emergency Management; often times the largest, longest and most understood component of all the phases.
Recovery is a subjective term as it is not a one-size-fits-all process. It begins immediately after the threat to human life has subsided and can continue on for years. It is a shared process that requires involvement from everyone in the community. From government to businesses and nonprofit organizations, and includes the residents within the community; each group has a role and responsibility to do their part in recovery to make Montgomery County a stronger more resilient place to live.
Working together to become a stronger community.
