Where this funding comes from On March 11, 2021 the President signed into law the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 - a $1.9 trillion economic relief package.
American Relief Plan Fund The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) appropriates $19.53 billion to States for distribution to tens of thousands of "non-entitlement units of local government" (NEUs). ARPA directs the Department of the Treasury (Treasury) to make payments to each State for distribution to NEUs within the State.
Under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 the U.S. Treasury will disperse two tranches of payments to Montgomery County. In 2021, Montgomery County will receive $58.98 million and in 2022 another $58.98 million. As required by the U.S. Treasury's interim and final rule governing the use of local ARPA dollars this site will include annual reports and reports updated as Montgomery County Commissioners approve programs and projects using ARPA dollars.
